More To Sex Than Just Viagra

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

These days everyone has heard about the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and it can probably claim to be among the world’s most famous drugs. Viagra has help millions of men (and women) restore their marriages as well as boost the profits of the pharma giant Pfizer. The fact that so much Viagra sells and that there is a huge market in copies illegal and otherwise shows that there is a serious need for this drug. Viagra shows that men care alot about their performance in bed and that they really want to be sexually vigorous with their wives and girlfriends and also that many men have problems sustaining erections when they age or when they have other health problems that cause erectile dysfunction.

So Viagra has helped men with the physical side of sexual dysfunction and has been known to help men and women with sexual intimacy and relationships but it is important not to just rely on Viagra for sexual intimacy and satisfaction. Sometimes Viagra can even cause more problems in a relationship as sexual expectations are not met and the sex just becomes a performance show as opposed to a romatic coupling.

Viagra has no effect on the spiritual and emotional side of sex and that must be considered before you think that Viagra will sort all your realtionship problems out. Older men often think that Viagra will suddenly make them amazing lovers again when they take the little blue pill and while the drug will help with the actual erectile function it will not help with the physical action of sex which is required too.

Many old people still like to enjoy sex and various studies have been done that show that aging does not always mean that sex is non existent. One survey claimed that nearly 70% of men over the age of 80 still enjoyed sexual encounters and that many married men and women over 60 are still sexually active and this is not all down to Viagra but also due to good health and a good relationship.

Viagra Adverts Under Fire ….Again

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

In Los Angeles an organisation that lobbies for AIDS information and help has criticised the new spate of Viagra adverts that they say are causing people to look at Viagra as a recreational drug and not as a drug that is a serious medicine for men with erectile dysfunction.

The lobbyists argue that by using Viagra as a recreational drug it can greatly increase the chances of people spreading the HIV virus as they tend to have more promiscuous sex as opposed to monogamous relationships. This has not actually been proved but what is apparent is that straight and gay men use Viagra to be come aroused sexually when the drink and drugs that they have consumed affect their sexual abilities. In their cases this allows men to have sex when they are in an inebriated state and under the influence of drugs that may cause them not to think properly and responsibly.

The drug Viagra is especially effective with gay men who use an illegal drug called methadone and then who are unable to exercise erectile function. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has announced that it will be running adverts in various newspapers in major US cities to warn about the recreational use of Viagra and to pressure Viagra into making sure that their advertising is always responsible and does not promote Viagra as a lifestyle drug.

Two adverts have recently come under fire, one in which a voice over announces to a middle aged couple that the Wild Thing is back and another has a couple smiling at each other when they are told that their movie has sold out and the line goes ‘What are you waiting for’…..
The head of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation said that these adverts were irresponsible because they are promoting Viagra as a party drug that can be used to have fun as opposed to help people who have a serious medical problem. He said that these drugs should not be used by men who just have mild erectile dysfunction but only to serious cases of impotence.

Viagra Found In Police Raid

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Good news from the UK is that following police raids a huge stash of fake Viagra erectile dysfunction pills have been confiscated in London. The fake Viagra pills would have been sold online by illegal websites or even sold on the street to individuals. The Police also announced that they had got hold of a host of other drugs including steroids, slimming pills anti-depressants and more, all of which fall into the lifestyle category of drugs and which people (who are reckless with their health) buy because they can’t get doctors prescriptions for them.

The house that was raided was being used as a distribution centre for the Viagra drug and while the police can’t be exactly sure how the Viagra was being sold it is likely that the drugs were supplying some illegal website and been given to black market Viagra peddlers to tout on the street.

The investigations are still continuing by the police and they will release more details when they can. In the meantime Ukmedix would like to remind all its patients not to fall into the temptation of buying illegal and fake Viagra on the street or online as the chances are that it will not have been manufactured to the same stringent standards as the real Viagra tablets and therefore could either be useless or harmful to your health.

The MHRA in the UK that keeps an eye out for illegal drug selling activity has been very vigilant in the last few years with the clamp down on the sales of fake Viagra tablets and has been seizing Viagra worth thousands of pounds each month.

It is likely that some of these fake Viagra pills have done severe harm to the health of people who use them but many of them are scared to come forward because they are ashamed that they could have been so stupid and they are worried that they broke the law by buying them in the first place. If you buy Viagra without a prescription, the law is being broken and you are putting your self in danger legally and health wise.

Pfizer And MHRA Warn Regarding Fake Viagra

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Pfizer, who manufacture the world’s best selling erectile dysfunction medication Viagra say that as many as ten percent of men could be “gambling on life” when purchasing counterfeit impotence meds online. Pfizer said that they estimated that around 90 percent of medications sold online could be fake.
A spokesman from Pfizer, Doctor David Gillen explained that a lot of men did not even realize that the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra required a prescription and were also unaware that when they bought from illegal websites they were buying potentially substandard and dangerous Viagra. He went on to explain that anonymity associated with buying erectile dysfunction drugs online was the main motivation and thus they were prepared to ignore the risk.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency in the United Kingdom backed up the research from Pfizer by saying that buying from illegal websites was “at best…. a waste of money”, and that at worst they could “harm or even kill”.

Ukmedix is aware of the concerns that men have with buying erectile dysfunction medication online and therefore have set up a unique system called Pharmacheck which allows you to contact the actual pharmacy based in the United Kingdom from where your medication is being dispatched from. This gives you peace of mind that what you are buying is the genuine article and that it is coming from a licensed British pharmacy and not from a criminal setup.

It is possible to buy medication online and some research shows that the quality of patient care with embarrassing conditions such as erectile dysfunction can be improved by online consultation, as opposed to face to face consultations where patients clam up and do not give doctors the full information about their condition. It is important to be discerning when it comes to buying impotence medications online. Any pharmacy that does not require an online consultation or a pharmacy is definitely selling you substandard medicines.

More On Pfizer’s Better Sex Survey

Monday, November 17th, 2008

More details of the results of the Pfizer Global Better Sex Survey are being revealed and Ukmedix has previously reported on the fact that Malaysia scored the worst for the average amount of sexual encounters monthly. The response to the fact they came last in the survey has been an outpouring of news articles on sexual satisfaction and erectile dysfunction in the Malaysian press.

The survey done in Malaysia was carried out by local representatives of Pfizer that manufacturer of Viagra and one of the questions asked was whether the hardness of an erection mattered to women when sexual satisfaction was at stake and the vast majority of women and men said it did. Those men and women who said that they were satisfied with erection hardness tended to say that they were satisfied with their sex lives overall and it was also noted that if the erection hardness could be sustained for a long time then the woman was likely to be more satisfied.

Erections can be graded into four distinct categories and they are classified as follows. Grade One is when the penis is larger than normal but not hard. Grade Two is when penis is harder but not sufficiently hard for penetration. Grade Three is when the penis is just hard enough to penetrate but not at its hardest. And finally Grade Four is a completely hard and rigid penis.

These gradings are used by doctors and researchers to evaluate the level of erectile dysfunction in men. For example Grade One is termed as severe erectile dysfunction and Grade Three is mild erectile dysfunction. All men aspire to getting a Grade Four erection for a long period of time and women are very observant as to the hardness of an erection especially as their pleasure is so dependent on it.

On the whole Malaysian men in the Pfizer Better Sex Survey said that they thought that the ability to maintain an erection was their responsibility and not the woman’s and women felt the same way too. However 26% of men said that the woman had some degree of responsibility for erections and 31% of women were concerned that sometimes it could be their fault too.

Buy Fake Viagra And Pay For A Bomb

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

If you are buying fake impotence medication on the internet or in response to spam emails you may like to know that you could be not only funding criminal organisations but even terrorist organisations such as Al Qaeda and Hezbollah!
Many terrorist groups used to invest heavily in the African diamond trade to finance their operations but recent clampdowns on “blood diamonds” has meant that some of these terrorist organisations have moved into the illegal pharmaceutical trade with erectile dysfunction drugs being very popular as they are the easiest to sell on the black market and the internet.

The reports coming in say that Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Ivory Coast have a large number of manufacturing plants for fake Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. The money that is made from these factories can go directly into funding terrorism organisations. A report done by University Researchers in Canada recently saw that five percent of all of the credit card processing facilities that they came across in response to spam e-mail came from the Democratic Republic of Congo where law enforcement is non existent in much of the country. The financial scale of these fake erectile dysfunction businesses is far bigger then most government departments in many African Countries and therefore the authorities tend to turn a blind eye to fake Viagra, Cialis and Levitra production in their nations.

Even if an illegal web site that offers to sell you very cheap drugs without a prescription appears to be operating from the United Kingdom the chances are that it is not. A web site that sells erectile dysfunction drugs without a prescription is breaking the law in the United Kingdom and therefore is very unlikely to be operating in the UK.

If you give your credit card details to a company in the Republic of Congo, the Ivory Coast or Nigeria the chances are that you could end up getting charged much more than you originally bargained for. You can also end up with no drugs whatsoever and even if they do send you something the chances are that it will be a dud, substandard or just plain dangerous.

History of Viagra

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Viagra was initially developed a heart condition called angina, during the testing period for this drug it was found to give an erection to men. The drug was patented in 1996, approved in 1998 making viagra the first official drug to treat erection problems and being made available for sale later that year. The success of this drug is over whelming. You can get viagra on perscription from your doctors or on numerous websites after consultation (a mere questionaire). The fact is, it has improved the sex lives of millions men and women around the world. Annual sales of Viagra in the period 1999 - 2001 exceeded £750,000,000.

It was first thought that Viagra would lead to a drop in the market for traditional remedies which came from specific body parts of endangered species. This is highly unlikely as the traditional remedies is a treatment not just for erectile dificinency e.g. the Rhinoceros horns are used for high fever. Further on it is unclear that natural remedies will be able to compete with Viagra, due to its aphrodisiac properties.

Since Viagra’s release, there has been an increase in ‘fake viargra’ being sold on the interne which looks like viagra (blue diamond pill) will the companies name, Pfizer engraved on it. These have proven to be dangerous and you must be careful where you buy viagra. Check out our purchasing viagra guide.

Pfizer’s worldwide patents on Viagra will expire in 2011 - 2013. The UK patent held by Pfizer on the use of Viagra as treatment of impotence has been invalidated in 2000 because of obviousness; this decision was upheld on appeal in 2002.

Buying Viagra

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

It is important you go and see your doctor before using viagra as you might not need it. But if you ignore this advice, and you but the drug on the internet please take these statistics into account:

50% of Viagra bought off the web is proven to be fake.
This can lead to heart attacks and other side effects.
Viagra is not cheap to buy online.

If you have various email accounts you may be getting spam email. This is against the law but the senders of spam are hard to track. Viagra spam has become one of the most popular forms of spam, where a message comes through to your email specifying special deals on viagra etc. Do not take any notice of these, block their emails and report them but the most important action you must not do is purchase anything from these sites as they can not be trusted due to fake viagra and fraud.

Buy viagra online from trusted sites where you can be guaranteed reasonable prices and 100% authentic.

Do the New Erectile-Dysfunction Drugs Work as Well as Viagra?

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Two drugs, Levitra and Cialis. They work the same way as Viagra, blocking the same enzyme. Though it’s unlikely any one works better than Viagra overall, slight chemical differences mean that if one brand doesn’t work for a patient, another one might.

A 67-year-old Boston man with diabetes says Viagra only worked for him about 25% of the time, and only when taking the maximum dose of 100 mg. Even then, he says, it resulted in only a “mediocre” erection, while making him feel lightheaded and giving him headaches and an upset stomach. He recently took part in a Levitra study and was shocked by the difference. “I was very, very happy,” says the man, a retired cook.

Early studies show Levitra requires a smaller dose and works faster than Viagra with fewer side effects. In Europe, where Cialis has been studied longer, the drug is dubbed the “weekend pill,” because its effects last up to 36 hours.

On its Web site, Pfizer says Viagra remains effective for about four hours. But doctors say it actually lasts about twice as long. A recent study from Spain reported the drug continued working up to 12 hours after taking it.

However, it’s impossible to know how the drugs really stack up. Nobody has studied them against one another, and because the studies use different participants, the results can’t be compared.
