The lobbyists argue that by using Viagra as a recreational drug it can greatly increase the chances of people spreading the HIV virus as they tend to have more promiscuous sex as opposed to monogamous relationships. This has not actually been proved but what is apparent is that straight and gay men use Viagra to be come aroused sexually when the drink and drugs that they have consumed affect their sexual abilities. In their cases this allows men to have sex when they are in an inebriated state and under the influence of drugs that may cause them not to think properly and responsibly.

The drug Viagra is especially effective with gay men who use an illegal drug called methadone and then who are unable to exercise erectile function. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has announced that it will be running adverts in various newspapers in major US cities to warn about the recreational use of Viagra and to pressure Viagra into making sure that their advertising is always responsible and does not promote Viagra as a lifestyle drug.

Two adverts have recently come under fire, one in which a voice over announces to a middle aged couple that the Wild Thing is back and another has a couple smiling at each other when they are told that their movie has sold out and the line goes ‘What are you waiting for’…..
The head of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation said that these adverts were irresponsible because they are promoting Viagra as a party drug that can be used to have fun as opposed to help people who have a serious medical problem. He said that these drugs should not be used by men who just have mild erectile dysfunction but only to serious cases of impotence.

Good news from the UK is that following police raids a huge stash of fake Viagra erectile dysfunction pills have been confiscated in London. The fake Viagra pills would have been sold online by illegal websites or even sold on the street to individuals. The Police also announced that they had got hold of a host of other drugs including steroids, slimming pills anti-depressants and more, all of which fall into the lifestyle category of drugs and which people (who are reckless with their health) buy because they can’t get doctors prescriptions for them.

The house that was raided was being used as a distribution centre for the Viagra drug and while the police can’t be exactly sure how the Viagra was being sold it is likely that the drugs were supplying some illegal website and been given to black market Viagra peddlers to tout on the street.

The investigations are still continuing by the police and they will release more details when they can. The MHRA in the UK that keeps an eye out for illegal drug selling activity has been very vigilant in the last few years with the clamp down on the sales of fake Viagra tablets and has been seizing Viagra worth thousands of pounds each month.

It is likely that some of these fake Viagra pills have done severe harm to the health of people who use them but many of them are scared to come forward because they are ashamed that they could have been so stupid and they are worried that they broke the law by buying them in the first place.
