Pfizer And MHRA Warn Regarding Fake Viagra

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Pfizer, who manufacture the world’s best selling erectile dysfunction medication Viagra say that as many as ten percent of men could be “gambling on life” when purchasing counterfeit impotence meds online. Pfizer said that they estimated that around 90 percent of medications sold online could be fake.
A spokesman from Pfizer, Doctor David Gillen explained that a lot of men did not even realize that the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra required a prescription and were also unaware that when they bought from illegal websites they were buying potentially substandard and dangerous Viagra. He went on to explain that anonymity associated with buying erectile dysfunction drugs online was the main motivation and thus they were prepared to ignore the risk.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency in the United Kingdom backed up the research from Pfizer by saying that buying from illegal websites was “at best…. a waste of money”, and that at worst they could “harm or even kill”.

Ukmedix is aware of the concerns that men have with buying erectile dysfunction medication online and therefore have set up a unique system called Pharmacheck which allows you to contact the actual pharmacy based in the United Kingdom from where your medication is being dispatched from. This gives you peace of mind that what you are buying is the genuine article and that it is coming from a licensed British pharmacy and not from a criminal setup.

It is possible to buy medication online and some research shows that the quality of patient care with embarrassing conditions such as erectile dysfunction can be improved by online consultation, as opposed to face to face consultations where patients clam up and do not give doctors the full information about their condition. It is important to be discerning when it comes to buying impotence medications online. Any pharmacy that does not require an online consultation or a pharmacy is definitely selling you substandard medicines.

More On Pfizer’s Better Sex Survey

Monday, November 17th, 2008

More details of the results of the Pfizer Global Better Sex Survey are being revealed and Ukmedix has previously reported on the fact that Malaysia scored the worst for the average amount of sexual encounters monthly. The response to the fact they came last in the survey has been an outpouring of news articles on sexual satisfaction and erectile dysfunction in the Malaysian press.

The survey done in Malaysia was carried out by local representatives of Pfizer that manufacturer of Viagra and one of the questions asked was whether the hardness of an erection mattered to women when sexual satisfaction was at stake and the vast majority of women and men said it did. Those men and women who said that they were satisfied with erection hardness tended to say that they were satisfied with their sex lives overall and it was also noted that if the erection hardness could be sustained for a long time then the woman was likely to be more satisfied.

Erections can be graded into four distinct categories and they are classified as follows. Grade One is when the penis is larger than normal but not hard. Grade Two is when penis is harder but not sufficiently hard for penetration. Grade Three is when the penis is just hard enough to penetrate but not at its hardest. And finally Grade Four is a completely hard and rigid penis.

These gradings are used by doctors and researchers to evaluate the level of erectile dysfunction in men. For example Grade One is termed as severe erectile dysfunction and Grade Three is mild erectile dysfunction. All men aspire to getting a Grade Four erection for a long period of time and women are very observant as to the hardness of an erection especially as their pleasure is so dependent on it.

On the whole Malaysian men in the Pfizer Better Sex Survey said that they thought that the ability to maintain an erection was their responsibility and not the woman’s and women felt the same way too. However 26% of men said that the woman had some degree of responsibility for erections and 31% of women were concerned that sometimes it could be their fault too.

Buy Fake Viagra And Pay For A Bomb

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

If you are buying fake impotence medication on the internet or in response to spam emails you may like to know that you could be not only funding criminal organisations but even terrorist organisations such as Al Qaeda and Hezbollah!
Many terrorist groups used to invest heavily in the African diamond trade to finance their operations but recent clampdowns on “blood diamonds” has meant that some of these terrorist organisations have moved into the illegal pharmaceutical trade with erectile dysfunction drugs being very popular as they are the easiest to sell on the black market and the internet.

The reports coming in say that Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Ivory Coast have a large number of manufacturing plants for fake Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. The money that is made from these factories can go directly into funding terrorism organisations. A report done by University Researchers in Canada recently saw that five percent of all of the credit card processing facilities that they came across in response to spam e-mail came from the Democratic Republic of Congo where law enforcement is non existent in much of the country. The financial scale of these fake erectile dysfunction businesses is far bigger then most government departments in many African Countries and therefore the authorities tend to turn a blind eye to fake Viagra, Cialis and Levitra production in their nations.

Even if an illegal web site that offers to sell you very cheap drugs without a prescription appears to be operating from the United Kingdom the chances are that it is not. A web site that sells erectile dysfunction drugs without a prescription is breaking the law in the United Kingdom and therefore is very unlikely to be operating in the UK.

If you give your credit card details to a company in the Republic of Congo, the Ivory Coast or Nigeria the chances are that you could end up getting charged much more than you originally bargained for. You can also end up with no drugs whatsoever and even if they do send you something the chances are that it will be a dud, substandard or just plain dangerous.
